
With 25 years experience
as a courtroom and deposition reporter in New Jersey, New York, and Vermont,
since 2000 Paula Mecke has specialized as an independent scopist based in San
Diego with clients all over the country. As part of her work, she teaches
technology courses at the StenoCAT User’s Network meetings and NCRA conferences
and provides one-on-one software training classes to reporters, both in person
and telephonically. Paula earned her CSR and RPR and taught court reporting at the
American Business Academy in Hackensack, NJ in the 1970s. She is married with
two children, and her hobbies include delivering yachts and is an avid knitter
on land and at sea.
